Spark Economy Research Centre (SERC) was conceptualized and founded in the beginning  of 1991 by a group of long experienced experts of Indian Iron and Steel Sector & Economy  Planning. The company was started by founder Editor & Publisher Late Dr. Manoj Chatterjee  and started publishing its professional journal ''Steel Scenario'' in the same year. The Centre  received the help and guidance of most of the experts of that time like Mr. Russi Mody,  Mr. V. Krishnamurthy, Mr. M. N.Dastur, 

Dr. Pramanik to name a few. Since 2011 post demise of the  founder Editor, the activities of 

SERC has been continued by Sakuntala C . as the Publisher and Editor.
